PROGRAM OVERVIEW.

Join the Next Sports Baseball program for a complete, structured baseball development experience led by college-level coaching.

We offer both Fall (Training Only) and Spring (Training & Competition) seasons, providing athletes with structured practices and competitive game opportunities designed for all skill levels.

All training sessions take place at Corpus Christi Sports Complex, 5102 Old Brownsville Rd, Corpus Christi, TX 78405, a premier facility dedicated to player development and performance.

We provide a structured, high-performance training environment built to develop confident, complete athletes. With access to top-tier facilities including all-turf fields and covered cages, players are able to train consistently year-round and focus on continuous hitting and skill development.

QUICK ACCESS

Tyler Anderson serves as the Regional Athletics Director, bringing a highly respected background as both a professional athlete and an experienced coach. A native of Sugar Land, Tyler was drafted in the 3rd round of the MLB Draft directly out of high school, marking the beginning of an impressive baseball journey that carried him to Baylor University. There, he delivered an immediate impact, throwing a no-hitter in his first collegiate start and playing a pivotal role in helping the program reach the College World Series.

Following his collegiate success, Tyler built a 10-year professional career that included time at the Triple-A level, participation in the Arizona Fall League Rising Stars Game, and multiple championship achievements across his career.

After stepping away from playing, Tyler moved into coaching and player development, joining the University of Houston staff as Director of Player Development and Assistant Pitching Coach for four years. During this time, he worked closely with elite collegiate coaches and contributed significantly to the development of high-performance athletes.

With a deep understanding of the game and a proven ability to mentor and connect with players, Tyler plays a key role in shaping a competitive, growth-focused environment within the program.

Ryan Mitchell serves as the Athletic Program Director, bringing a well-rounded background in leadership, competitive sports, and athlete development. His career has been built around helping athletes improve both their performance and mindset, with a strong emphasis on discipline, technical fundamentals, and sustainable long-term growth.

Across various levels of youth and competitive athletics, Ryan has contributed to the development of structured training systems, clear progression models, and high-standard program frameworks. His work focuses on creating consistency in development while ensuring athletes are challenged appropriately at every stage.

Respected for his leadership and communication skills, Ryan is highly effective in working with both players and coaching staff. He plays a central role in guiding the program’s vision and fostering a culture centered on accountability, improvement, and team success.

Ethan Brooks serves as the Community Sports Coordinator, combining a strong background in sports programming, community engagement, and athlete development. He is passionate about using sports as a platform to bring people together and create structured opportunities where athletes of all levels can learn, compete, and grow in a positive environment.

Throughout his career, Ethan has been actively involved in designing and leading youth development initiatives, community training sessions, and team-building programs that strengthen both athletic ability and personal character. His focus extends beyond on-field performance, emphasizing discipline, teamwork, communication, and long-term growth.

Ethan is known for his approachable mindset and consistent commitment to the athlete experience. In his role, he serves as a key connector between the program and the wider community, helping ensure that players, families, and coaches are aligned in building a supportive, inclusive, and impactful sports culture.

This program is strictly focused on baseball training and athletic development. It does not provide academic instruction or classroom-based education.

Families who are currently homeschooling, or planning to follow a homeschool academic path, are responsible for selecting their own curriculum or academic provider that best fits their educational needs.

For families exploring homeschooling options, we may share recommended academic resources in the future to help guide your decision-making process.

Fall Training Program

This program follows a structured team-style training format held at Cotton Sports Ranch. Sessions will run three days per week over a 12-week period, with each practice lasting approximately two hours.

Training is designed to develop skills through consistent, high-rep group sessions focused on player growth and on-field performance.

Spring Competition Program

This program features structured team-based and/or camp-style practices held at Cotton Sports Ranch twice per week over a 14-week period.

Each roster will participate in an estimated 30-game schedule designed to provide consistent competitive experience throughout the season.

Teams may be organized based on evenly matched talent groups and/or follow a traditional varsity and sub-varsity structure depending on program needs and player development goals.

7th–12th Grade Competitive Baseball Program

This program is designed exclusively for baseball players in grades 7 through 12 who are homeschooled and managing their own academic arrangements outside of the program.

Participation is focused solely on competitive baseball development and game play within a structured team environment.

No, participation in the Next Sports Baseball membership program is not required.

This program is open to all athletes who meet the established participation guidelines, regardless of club or membership affiliation.

Players will have access to a high-quality training facility, experienced coaching staff, and a structured player development environment.

Please note that training equipment and gear are not included and must be purchased separately.
